Ravioli & Cannoli Dinner

We’re delving deeper and deeper into our pasta making, and now we’re going to bring it into the world of sweets too! We’ve been making an excellent tangy vegan blue cheese, and will use it to fill some nice raviolis as well. This promises to be a fantastic 4 course dinner, and the debut of our vegan cannoli.

This 4 course dinner is an all inclusive (no tax, no tip!) $38, and reservations can be made here.

That said, here’s the menu for this evening:

Spiced Panisse Fries, Whipped Cashew Cream, and Sweet Pepper Jam
We’ll make a deliciously spiced panisse with garlic and chickpea flour, then cut it and fry it like you would French fries. We’ll serve it with whipped cashew and a sweet pepper jam.

Antipasti Salad
We’ll take many of the classic Italian antipasti ingredients, and present them in the form of a nice salad. Marinated cashew mozzarella, kalamata olives, pepperoncini, and smoked onion slices will adorn crisp romaine leaves, dressed with a garlic, red wine vinegar, and oregano dressing.

Blue-Cheese Ravioli with Radicchio, Walnuts, and Apple Honey
We’ll use our vegan blue cheese to fill housemade ravioli, and adorn them with grilled radicchio spears, toasted walnuts, apple honey, chives, and shavings of our aged blue cheese.

Cannoli with Raspberries
We’ll be making fresh cannoli, and filling them with a sweet lemon ricotta, then topping them with fresh raspberries, and a dusting of powdered sugar.
